Smart! BASKETMOUTH THEMES ANNUAL CONCERT “GUILTY AS CHARGED”

Ace comedian Bright ‘Basketmouth’ Okpocha has turned his flop into creativity, making the best out of the unfortunate situation – very smart move.
It’s barely three days after his infamous rape joke and Basketmouth has announced his annual concert ‘Basketmouth Uncensored,’ with the theme “Guilty As Charged.” The show banner shows the comedian taking a Mug Shot while giving details (date and venue) of the upcoming show.
On Sunday, December 5, 2014, Basketmouth had innocently shared a (careless) joke on his Facebook wall, describing African women as being difficult when a man demands for sex after he might have lavished money on them for days; which eventually necessitate that they get raped. In less than 30 minutes the joke dropped, a truck-load of people went for his balls on social media, berating him for insinuating that RAPE is okay.
Sober and remorseful, Okpocha tendered an unreserved apology, but Twitter cannibers were still bent on tearing him to bits and pieces – and some calling him to become an anti-rape activist.
A man who admits his wrong, seeks pardon and ready  for atonement deserves a warm embrace after all. It’s however natural that Basketmouth’s fans and minders who were offended by his ‘joke’ turn out en masse (as usual) for the 2014 edition of the ‘Basketmouth Uncensored’ concert.
The show holds on different dates in five cities: February 9 (Port Harcourt), February 14 (Manchester), February 15 (Birmingham) February 16 (London) and February 24 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
