Rising star! 12 Years A Slave actress Lupita Nyong'o looks divine in sunny Dolce & Gabbana dress for Dazed & Confused cover

Her exotic beauty and acting debut in 12 Years a Slave has left both Hollywood and the fashion world breathless.

And Lupita Nyong'o cemented her 'It Girl' status looking absolutely flawless on the February cover of Dazed & Confused.

The 30-year-old actress looked divine in a yellow vinyl frock by Dolce & Gabbana for the colour-blocked image shot by Sharif Hamza.

Lupita - who shaved her head at 19 - was born in Mexico, raised in Kenya, and now resides in Brooklyn.

Nyong'o will compete against Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts, Oprah Winfrey, and June Squibb at the SAG Awards airing Saturday on TNT and TBS.

She's also up for an ensemble award along with her 12 Years a Slave cast-mates.
