Forest Of Horror: Oyo Police Arrest 8 Suspects
Eight suspects were reportedly arrested on Thursday by the Oyo
State Police Command in connection with the "forest of horror" in Soka
area of Ibadan.
Еhe police did not provide the names of those arrested while the investigations are still continues.
However, the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police in charge of Zone 11 promised to bring those responsible for tortures and murders to justice.
Urging residents to report any suspicious movement they notice in their area, the AIG asked residents to avoid jungle justice.
It would be recalled that after the discovery of the ritualists' den last Saturday, people set ablaze a man they caught with 42 SIM cards of different networks oh him. Moreover, another suspect was captured by the residents, but the police managed to rescue his life and carry out the arrest.
Expressing his dismay over the Ibadan tragedy, Rep. Ibrahim Olaifa (Accord-Oyo) said several victims were found together in varying states of poor mental and physical health within the inhabitable area in Soka forest. Decomposed bodies of human beings were also discovered in the area
