JUST IN: Court Stops Reps From Probing Diezani Over Jet Scandal

Information emanating from the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, indicates that a Federal High Court in Abuja has stalled the House of Representatives from probing Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke over the N10bn she allegedly spent in two years to charter a private jet, Challenger 850. 
It was gathered that the court ruled that the probe should be stopped pending determination of her suit.

PUNCH reports that the case has been adjourned till July 3.

Details of everything that transpired at the court today is still being expected.
Meanwhile, it could be recalled that the embattled minister had on Tuesday, 10 May, 2014, filed a fresh application for a provisional order to stop the National Assembly from going ahead with the probe on the allegation that she spent N10bn on a chartered aircraft.
In the application, Mrs Alison-Madueke, through one of her lawyers, Mr. Mike Ozekhome (SAN), urged the court to restrain the House of Representatives from carrying out its threat to commence the probe on June 17.
The Minister, alongside the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, had earlier approached a Federal High Court in Abuja, both seeking a court order to stop the probe.
