2014 W/Cup: Omeruo's Return Boosts Super Eagles Ahead Iran Match

Less than 7-hours before the opening ceremony of the 2014 World Cup starts in Brazil, the camp of the Nigeria's Super Eagles has received a cheery boost ahead of their first match against Iran on Monday, 16 June, 2014.
Reports coming in from Brazil states that defender Kenneth Omeruo, who has been injured for some days now, trained fully with the rest of the squad at the Estadio Brinco De Ouro da Princesa in Campinas on Wednesday's evening.
kickOffigeria.com reports that Omeruo last trained with the Eagles' squad on Thursday, 5 June, 2014 when he picked up a slight knock in training.
The Chelsea player also missed the friendly game against the United States which the team lost 1-2 and was not part of the team's last training sessions in U.S before they arrived in Sao Paulo in Brazil on Tuesday's night.

It was gathered that Omeruo made a return to Eagles' first session on arrival in Brazil, and officials are confident he is in line to start the opening game against Iran on 16 June.
The team led by coach Stephen Keshi had a light workout at 4pm local time (8pm in Nigeria) on Wednesday as they get ready for the first game against Iran next Monday.

Speaking to journalists after the training in front of the Vitoria Hotel, where the team is quartered, Keshi expressed surprise at the warm reception given to the team on arrival and added that the Nigerian players are overwhelmed by the reception.
