It really works! Katy Perry jumps rope on stage while flashing toned midriff in a crop top as she performs Down Under

She has previously revealed that she stays in shape by jumping rope and is loath to do any other form of exercise.
And Katy Perry showed off the fruits of her labour as she performed in Australia on Tuesday morning.
The singer was flashing her toned stomach in a white crop top and matching skirt, as she demonstrated her workout regime by bringing a skipping rope on stage with her.

Katy barely broke a sweat as she hopped over the rope again and again, and managed to do so expertly despite her high heels.
The star, who celebrated her 29th birthday last week, was wearing a treacherous pair of white peep toe boots.
She teamed her otherwise all-white ensemble with a safari print overlay to her skirt, and later slipped a matching poncho over her outfit.
Katy wore her jet-black locks in a high ponytail and completed her look with lots of red lipstick.

The Roar hit-maker was performing at the Sydney Opera House for a morning TV news show and had bundles of energy despite the early hour.
‘Typically, I hate mornings, but this morning is unlike any other morning!’ she tweeted ahead of her performance.
Afterwards, Katy took the time to pose for photographs with her fans from Down Under.
‘I hate working out, but I love jumping rope,’ Katy told CGG in a 2010 interview. ‘I think it’s because it’s like dancing; there’s a rhythm.’

She added: ‘I’m a really good rope jumper. I can double jump, I can cross, I can do all of it. I look like Rocky when I jump rope!’
Meanwhile Katy, who is currently dating John Mayer, has criticised her fellow female pop stars for their raunchy antics.
‘Everybody’s getting naked,’ the singer said to NPR host Scott Simon in an interview she gave on October 25, which aired on Saturday.

‘I mean, I’ve been naked before but I don’t feel like I have to always get naked to be noticed.’
Although it appeared she was directing her comments at best pal Rihanna as well as Miley Cyrus, the star refused to name names.
‘I’m not talking about anyone in particular,’ she said. ‘I'm talking about all of them. I mean, it's like everybody's so naked. It's like put it away.
‘We know you've got it. I got it too. I've taken it off for - I've taken it out here and there. And I'm not necessarily judging. I'm just saying sometimes it's nice to play that card but also it's nice to play other cards.'
