Provoked fury: Sharon Shoesmith will benefit from a total pay-out of around £700,000 after winning her unfair dismissal case Sharon Shoesmith demanded £1.5million in compensation after she was sacked over the death of Baby P. The revelation prompted a fresh wave of fury yesterday, as it also emerged that the disgraced social services chief wants to start working with children again. Shoesmith, former head of children’s services at Haringey Council, will benefit from a total pay-out of around £700,000 after winning her unfair dismissal case.
