Cynthia's Murder Trial - Revelation of Naked Pictures of The Deceased
The trial of Cynthia Osokogu’s alleged killers continued
yesterday and the Lagos High Court in Igbosere was shown the naked
pictures of the deceased.
The pictures where alleged to have been taken by Okwumo Nwabufo and transferred from his Blackberry phone to his laptop.
Okwumo Nwabufo was also said to have confessed all to the police during his arrest, the prosecution’s witness, Sgt. John Babalola said: “After we discovered the picture, ACP Dan Okoro, the Area Commander, asked that additional statements be made based on picture,The statement was signed by Nwabufo.
When Nwabufo was arrested, he confessed that he knew what he did and that everything was over. Nwabufo sent the picture to his laptop through his Blackberry phone. Nwabufo then operated the Blackberry phone to show us (police) the chain used in tying the deceased.
Sgt. John Babalola revealed that after he confessed, he took them to his Festac home and showed the policemen the laptop, phones and different SIM cards, and when the they conducted a quick search of the laptop, they saw the a picture of the deceased lying down.
“On that same date, the Nwabufo was asked to open the laptop, which he carried by himself to the Area Commander’s office, and he was asked to open the said laptop. I and one ASP Marian were there and we saw the picture of the deceased lying down and her international passport on her chest", Sgt. John Babalola said.
The ongoing Cynthia Murder trial has four Okwumo Nwabufo, 33; Olisaeloka Ezike, 23; Orji Osita, 33 and Ezike Nonso, 25, They are all charged with the kidnapping and murder of Cynthia Osokogu.
Cynthia had met her death on July 2012, when her Facebook friends strangled her to death after drugging her in a hotel room, tying her hands with tapes and padlock and leaving her naked.
