Mubarak Sentenced To Four Years In Jail
Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has been found guilty of embezzling public funds and been jailed for three years.
His Sons Alaa and Gamal were given four year terms and also fined $3m (£1.8m) with him, and ordered to repay the $17.6m (£10.4m) they stole.
The Judge Osama Shaheen told a caged Mubarak that he should have treated everyone, close or far equally and Instead of abiding by the constitution and laws, he gave himself and his sons the freedom to take from public funds whatever they wanted to without oversight and without regard.
Mubarak has however spent 23 months in jail since August 2011, therefore will only serve no more than a year as punishment for the corruption charges.
His sons also fall under the same state, having spent over three years in jail and with this new sentencing they will get to spend only one more year locked up
